Terminator is one of the greatest movie series in the industry. It has earned million of dollars in box office and still continues to be a great SF movie. If you are a true fan and you have seen the three previous movies, then you should definitely see Terminator 4, Salvation. Terminator 4 was made in 2009, and it is an American science fiction movie directed by McG, starring Christian Bale and Sam Worthington. It is the fourth installment in the Terminator series. In a departure from the previous movies, which were set between 1984 and 2004 and used time travel as a key plot element, Terminator 4 is set in 2018. Terminator 4 focuses on the war between Skynet and humanity, with the human Resistance fighting against the killing machines of Skynet.
Christian Bale is the one portraying John Connor in Terminator 4, a Resistance fighter and one of the main characters of the Terminator franchise, while Sam Worthington portrays cyborg Marcus Wright. The plot of Terminator 4 is basically the same with the other three movies from the series: good guys are chased by evil robots with the purpose of destroying the human resistance. So far, nothing new. The Terminator 4 escape by the skin of their teeth, only to face even more trouble later on in the movie. In the end, after many action packed scenes, John and Marcus manage to put an end to the Skynet supremacy. All is well when it ends well.
Terminator 4 may not have Arnie on board, but it is still a good movie. Once you have purchased the DVD, you can have your own Terminator marathon and enjoy all the crashing, smashing, exploding cars, the special effects and great lines, while eating popcorn with your friends. Terminator 4 is worth watching, especially if you have seen the other Terminator movies, even if it might seem that it is slightly predictable and that it misses some of the dramatic elements of the previous movies.
